Letters is a play written, produced, and directed by Aspen Somers.  Some may recognize Aspen and her twin sister Ashley from local stages, but many don't know their story.  In 2002, Aspen's parents found out that they were pregnant with twins.  Unfortunately, the twins had Twin-To-Twin-Transfusion-Syndrome, a fetal condition that occurs in identical twins with a grim prognosis.  There was a small chance that both Aspen and Ashley would survive, but they did.  In order to help other families, Aspen's parents started the Fetal Health Foundation.  Now, Aspen is telling the common yet untold story of families who weren't as lucky as hers.
